Default 1996 Camaro

I'm considering buying a 1996 v6 camaro with 160,000 miles. The owner is a mechanic who says everything works ect. I trust the mechanic I was just wondering how long you think the car would last with so many miles on it. I can take care of the car, but don't have a very large amount of money to put into it. So i was hoping some one could help me. It would be my first camaro too!

There is no way to predict how much longer a 15 year old car will last. It is possible to make it to 200K without any major repairs but even if a car is maintained and driven like an old lady would no one would be shocked the tranny failed or you blew a head gasket at 161K.
I bought my 96 with 132K on it. It was a one owner deal serviced and garage kept by a middle age women. It had a spin bearing.
