Default 1995 bastard year v6 5spd base

I have recently offered to buy a 95 3.4l 5spd camaro from a co-worker at my shop. Before I buy it he says I should get it running first. He explained that one day it ran, the next it never started again. The starter would turn it over, but no start. After replacing the fuel pump, fuses and relays throughout the car, the fuel pump still wouldn’t kick on, so it sat for almost 2 years. I get it towed to the shop, put a fresh new battery in it, and replaced the fuel pump again, the fuel pump would not come on. I checked the fuel pump relay, there wasn’t 12vdc going to the relay, so just try try and hear it run, I wired the fuel pump to a 12vdc source and grounded to the body, found the little plug under the lid is crap but alas!! I got it to come on, ran to the seat, pressed the clutch, no crank. Nothing. Some lights in the dash, security light has never come on even with the key in the run position. My second thought was the VATS. So read some threads on here about a quick bypass, tried it, the starter began making a seriously concerning noise. Tried it again, sparks flew from the theft deterrent relay, now there is zero power coming to the car from the battery. Checked fuses and all but the pcm/ign fuse was fine. Every time I put a new fuse in, it popped. I now have no power in the car at all and am lost. I now turn to all of you for help. I have never experienced anything like this before. Please help.

sounds like a direct short to ground. download the factory service manual if you haven't already and study the wiring diagrams to hopefully give you some idea of where to start to look. brb
