Gorn, Thanks. I certainly appreciated the info. It is just that I try my best to be accurate and to do my homework before I ask questions on forums. I'm 65, been a mechanic for half a century, and I am a generalist. I work on all different kinds of vehicles, and am on a lot of different forums. It was not your words that caused my embarrassment, it was my inaccuracy. I truly appreciated your complete and thorough info and history of the 4th Gen Camaros, SS and Z28 models. The customer of my friend, the body shop owner, is going to get an aftermarket hood, so all is taken care of now. This was, actually, a third party request, so I feel that somewhere in conversation, the info supplied to me, got twisted. Thanks once more for your help. I hope you enjoy the video of Steve's Nomad. He is a very competent and experienced body man. His Nomad has had the same paint job since 1976, and it's a real beauty. Thanks once more, Antiqueynot

I think this will answer your question.

1993 1997 Chevy Camaro SS Style Functional Fiberglass RAM Air Vented Hood | eBay

I have to warn you about fiberglass, it can be a *****.

mfmfim, Thanks for the link, I will pass it along. After being asked to look for a nonexistent hood (there is no '94 SS), I am letting my friend and his customer find their own hood. I do, whole heartedly agree, that fiberglass can be a P.I.T.A.. Thanks again to you and all the members of this forum, for their help and guidance. If I ever need to consult this forum again, I promise I will make certain that I have my information correct, Antiqueynot

to be honest, I feel some of the people go over board. It can make getting a straight answer difficult.

FYI the original hoods from SLP are fiberglass and fit good and the Ebay hoods are notoriously bad fitting and they tend to crack.

There are a lot of problems with aftermarket fiberglass hoods. They are poures and the pours needs to be filled and sanded. etc, etc, etc! Aftermarket hoods are a pain in the as$. I was just trying to help the guy out.

I don't know about if they came with these hoods or not, but my car has never been repainted and is stock,

my `94

now I don't know if it was added later but the guy I bought it from has owned it for many years and the hood has always been on it
