1994 automatic shifter plate needle?
Hi guys, this may seem like a stupid question, but on my 94 z28 auto, the orange needle or indicator on the shifter plate does not work..I looked at it, and the needle is free and if you hold the shift plate vertically, the needle will slide straight down from park to 2 and vice versa if you hold it vertically the opposite way. The needle is just free and not connected to anything so it just slides around and doesn't line up with my shifter to tell me what gear I'm in.
My question is, what exactly is supposed to be connected to this from where the shifter moves around, to make the needle move with it?
This is my first car..and I can drive it without this orange needle thing telling me what gear I'm in..but it's just a convenience type of thing that'd be nice to have so I know for sure, lol.
Any help at all is appreciated!
