Default 1/4 mile time improvement

hey guys i justput my transgo reprogramming kit in my 4l60e this last week and im going back to the track to see the improvement in my et. before my tranny was shifting sloppy at the 1-2 shift but now its a whole new car. andthe 2-3 shift is at a badarea for the 1/4 mileIMO because it shifts at like 95mph.i have a 95 z28 with a K&N CAI, cut out,and flowmaster catback . last time i ran a 13.908 @100.73 mph. what do u guys think my car will run now with the transgo? i was thinking a 13.7-13.9.

thx.

If you dont blow it up? The trans was shifting sloppy for a reason. So by putting in this reprogramer, it may have adverse effects on your car. Just watch your RedLine, if you over rev it, you can easily bend a valve or damage your internals.

i doubt my motor is gonna blow up cuz my car shifts fine now right where its supposed to under WOT. in the 5k range right before redline. plus when i removed the pan of my tranny it was very clean and so was everything else in the value body, etc. no shavings and my car has 95,000 miles on it.

ya turns out i forgot that one of the checkballs was basically wedged into the seperater plate and it wasnt sitting how it is supposed to. this was probly the reason for my sloppy shift cuz i got a new transgo seperater plate the tempered one. so do u still think it would really have a reverse effect? on my car

You never know. Anytime you modify with out checking for wear, your flirting with disaster. Would you add NOS to an engine with 100,000 miles with out first making sure that there wasnt excessive slop in the timing chain, crank or other internal parts? It would be like giving Granny Betty a boob job. The new fun bags would destroy her back and new hip.

I have the Transgo plate in mine, made a nice improvement overall, I have never checked it at the track though.
