That's still just another version of an automatic though.

This feeling is perfectly normal.

I have 3 Camaros all stick (4,5 & 6 speeds). I have 3 daughters and a wife that have no idea how to drive a stick. I keep telling my wife its not my fault all the really good deals are on sticks because no one wants them. Hey what can I do?

Damn it's the exact opposite around here. My z28 with nothing wrong with it was 2700. Go on cl, find a six speed, and they will seriously be up there for 10000.

And for the sake of your cars, that is a good thing!

I said I told my wife that, Please don't confuse that with reality. Yes the Sticks are hard to come by here.

It has crossed my mind that if my girls knew how to drive manuals they would ask to borrow them. I know I should teach my daughters how to drive a manual as part of raising them right, my oldest daughter wrecked my Sunfire twice. My sister “Borrowed” my Dad’s mint 72 Caddy and did even get out of the driveway without swiping the brick wall. I look at my 67 and just cannot let that happen. If that means I fail as a parent so be it.

"Dad, can I drive your Camaro"
Me: "If you're in the passenger seat and I'm having a heart attack, and it means getting me to the hospital to save my life, then yes".

I don't see what the big deal is with manual or auto. If it is your daily driver who cares. For a weekend toy sure I'd rather have a manual but for a dd I'm not sure I would. I've driven both for dd's and I have to say when I'm tired or in traffic I prefer an auto.

My d.d. (Jeep) is a stick, and I enjoy going row-row-row the gears, gently down the street!
Not everybody may, especially if they're limp in the knee! lol
It's second nature for me though, I like it.

An auto would make more sense, but us guys dont listen to since. Hell, my gf has a 5sp kia sportage, and i get a kick out of driving that. Imagine if i could get that kick+the brute power of a camaro. Makes me shiver.
