Would 20s on a camaro be blasphemy?
So I've done my searching around and can't find a real answer to this question, so I know you guys can give me a good opinion.
I have a 1991 Camaro RS (V6) here is a picture of it. (also seen below) (scratches have been fixed since the taking of this picture)
Recently I've been doing alot of touches on it and it has come down to finding rims. It's like finding a needle in a haystack here. From three different stores (2 minor, one major) I have discovered that the bolt pattern is abnormal, blah blah blah and nothing they have will fit. I really don't want 15 inch rims anymore because I love the look of low profile tires, so I've been looking for 17s.
The most recent place I looked at, after an hour plus of calling around, found a 20" Iroc-Z wheel (also seen below) (exactly the same as what I have now but bigger and chrome) that he says will fit. As for 17s, he told me to go elsewhere. I looked at a car with the same size wheel/tire combo and it looked decent, but I don't want my car to look like a wagon with no tires.
So my question to you guys is... Would this look completely goofy and be considered a ricer/gangstermobile or can it maintain some class with the iroc rims? Also, if anyone has alternatives to something that fits my car (don't tell me to look online because nothing meets my size/price range combination and I've spent enough time already)
Also, first post of hopefully many. : )
Relatively old picture, i'll wax it and post a new picture tommorow in the introductions thread.

i have 19's. i don't personally like 1 piece wheels larger the 18's. the irocs look good 18's, not a fan larger. billet is different and it also depends on the car. my 19's are nice but if your going to run 20's i hope you spend some big money upgrading the parts of your car that will get worn out fast.
once you go 19" or 20" your car starts to look foolish (sorry kandied91z). you lose a lot of your ride quality and take a chance of denting your rims with just the littlest bump in the road. your car will look great with 17" or even 17" and 18" staggered rims.
why are you saying your bolt pattern is abnormal? your bolt pattern will fit anything from the 50s right on up to the 90s and even some 00s. you have the most common bolt pattern ever made

I agree with 1969SS. But you have to think to yourself...Your drivn the car...what look are you goin for?...and if those rims help you get that look then I say you got your awnser...
I wouldn't go any larger than 18". I think a 17"-18" is what looks best on a 3rd. gen. Get some with a black mesh style and polished lip (like the American Racing Cyclone in black), that would look great with a newly painted black Camaro.
And u say ur price range. Those 20' irocs are EXPENSIVE!! In my summit book they around 285 or 330 A RIM!!!! You may have the 5x5 lug nut size and not the almighty 5x4.75. Look at corvette rims or something like that!
actually, the american racing iroc replica that you are looking at comes in 16X8, 18X8 and the 20X8, and the 16's are quite resonable in price, about 200 a rim last time i checked
