Remove the carb, turn it upside down, and drain the gas into a bucket or coffee can.
And as long as the carb is off, you can duct tape over the intake opening to seal off the engine.
Reinstall the carb for real later.

I have stored my car inside and covered , for a year at a time with no problems with Tires, or with carb leaks...

Kept the battery charged, but you can just buy a new battery.

I thought i would get flat spots or carb leaks...nope..not for me anyways..
