i know somone giving away a 3rd gen maro with a blown engine and i want to put a LS1 in it, will this work?

ok, and i was lookin on line and i seen a site that had engines nd it said it will fit the 4th gen maros, but it did not say 3rd gen, thats a LS1 right? and it was going for about 1900$ does that sound right?

the engine is currently a stock Z28, i dont think he changed anything, and i want an LS because arnt they faster than the LT's?
U said u have started many LS projects? have u tried a maro ls swap? how much do u think the total will be ? i am going to sell me 01 maro bubt its a v6 =/ so i want to upgrade, tired of GT's punkin me haha, wont the gto engines cost more?

 

o and it is a stick shift, will the tranny b an issue?

Get a T56 then that is the 6spd manual used in Vettes, Camaros, and Vipers

 

do u know the price on that? and will i have to do any adjustments to the car so it will fit
