ive been told that vortec heads are the cheapest way to get more horsepower what do you guys think or is there another cheap way for horspower im runing a 350 flat top pistons 477 compcam

 

For the money the Vortec heads will give a good boost in power, there are better heads out there, but the price is much higher. The Vortec will bolt up to a 350 block, but the intake manifold will not fit, and you will need an after market manifold. What type induction are you running??

 

I just conveted to Vortec heads and I am happy with the change.
Not a lot more horsepower but runs well and reliable which was my main concern.

 

To get the most out of them, you need a cam, intake, and exhaust that will take full advantage of the Vortec breathing ability.
