Hey what's up guys. I have a friend that is willing to sell me his lt1 v8 to me wiring harness and all. I was wondering if a lt1 will bolt up to a 5 spd tranny from my v6 camaro or will I have to get a 6 spd instead? will a 5 spd pull harder? thanks

The LT1 would probably tear through your 5 speed. You wouldn't feel any noticable difference between the two transmissions.

 

how well would the V6 rear end hold up?

 

In all you would better off to find a V8 camaro with a blown motor and do a swap. The cost will add up and thenwhen you try to sell it it show up as a v6 car and more people will walk away.
