Ok i just bought a garage that was repoed by the city and finally cracked it open to find a ton of 350s! Now i found a full motor and tranny that has the code v05795sdu which should be a 305 from a 1985 Camaro right? but look at the pics the vale cover has 4 bolts and not center bolt (Head scratch) So chime in and tell me what you think i have here

 

A pre-1987 305 perhaps (still had 4 bolt valve covers then). Check for the date casting on the bellhousing flange, passenger side or towards the middle. Might even have a "5.0" cast on the flange as well.

 

the a/c lines dont look correct for a camaro of that year, nor does the emission control routing. check where 69 said to and see what you have. could be from a full size car or a truck
