what temp should my thermostat be set on? And how hot is too hot? I got and 85, 305, carb

Most stock t-stats are 190ish. That is about as high as I would go.

I put a 180 in my 91 RS, but it's a bit too cool for the winter. And a lower stat doesn't help much if the fan still goes on at the factory preset of 220-ish.
