Need help have a 91 rs with the 305 theguy i bought the car off of made it carburated an did something to the wires in the harness.......for the problem....iam havein an issue with it startin an was told it the wires from the ignition to the starter...dont have the $$ right now to mess wit the wires would a push button start solve this problem as far as startin...if any advise would be appreciated...thank u

 

You will have to more specific, if its an improperly wired, or loose wires on the starter or solenoid, it won't matter what kind of configuration (key, or button) you use. Make sure the starter is grounded, and all the wires are correct and tight. Next, check fuses and such, let us know what you find.

 

91 has vats so you would need to bypass that first to put in a push button. better to have it tuned out of the computer by a tuner.

 

well the reason askin is that iv had all the wires from starter ignition an battery l looked at then had them checked else were i brought it to a shop an they said that the wires that r in the hood bay aloong the firewall are messed up ... im not sure at all wen it comes to wiring...........an the vats was disconnected i believe il have to check

 

oh boy. well in that case you could run a wire to the starter and push button.
