Default Standard to automatic tranny questions

i got a 2.8 car with a five speed converting it to a small block .thanking about putting a aftermarket 700r4 in it.what all would i have to do to make it work ?

best way to go about it would to be stick with standard shift lol, sorry, i just believe muscle cars need to be stick lol

Well a auto will be faster at the track and much more consistent... A drag racer wants an auto, a street runner wants a manual.

Yeah i like five speeds to but where can you get a aftermarket t5 for a reasonable price? i would not mind having a ratchet.kinda miss the one i had in my s10

I figured it out .i know muscle cars should be stick but i got a lot of back problems and the the older i get the worst my back gets.i plan on keeping this car as my daily driver. i just dont thank a stiff aftermarket clutch would be the best route for me .i thank a 700r4 with a ratchet shifter would be the best route for me
