Im probably at the same stage as you. im pulling the left front of the frame on mine. ill only be paying 400 bucks for paint though its sunburst orange met

 

i work at a dealership body shop and got bored today because business is slow (hasn't rained in a while... no wrecks), and went to see if my paint code was in our system. well it was but it showed up as a base/clear job... which sounds a whole lot better to me than doing the pearl even tho it might look better. have no idea whut it would cost compared to the pearl job but prolly alot cheaper. well, i got a dealer license plate and shot it with the snake skin on break. after i cleared and baked it, i brought it out in the sun and wow i was impressed! it seems a lil too yellow when the sun is right on it but i can change the mix up a lil if need be. snake skin green is a definite for me and my camaro. all i have to do nowis find out where i can buy a gallon of it

 

I like it. Something different that no one has, and it will turn some heads. Keep in mind if your going to do a custom paint job, you have to get new rims. Nothing real flashy, either some chrome iroc's or some type of black rim. Keeping the stock wheel would just look bad.
