i have an 89 5.0 tpi auto just put new distributer in and set timing right on.now it starts fine ican drive where ever i want till i shut it off foronly a few min starts back maeby i mite have to spray it with starting fluid not always but then it runs like crap.if u let it get cold again none of this will happen.iv chech its not reading no codes at all the shop sead it sounds like the moter has a cam it has biger air tobs and injectors posable port and polished cant get ahold of last owner bout off the lot if any one can help thanks

 

well i had kind of the same problems. mine turned out to be a tps sensor and also i had a plug wire that had gotten burns and was sparking to the motor and plug wasnt getting enoughspark and fould plugs. i recomend new plugs and wires to start and work your way up from there
