I have a 85 IROC TPI. When the engine is cold it runs just fine. But when it warms up the RPM start's to surge with me. I will take any help I can get please.

Is the engine light on?

 

Cold engine/open loop ok. Warm engine/closed loop not ok. Likely to be a bad temperature sensor, 02 sensor, etc. Even if the check engine light isn't on, flash for codes. Sometimes an error can be present without the light being on. https://camaroforums.com/forum/82-92...d-codes-20385/

The engine a 350/330 crate engine. I'm running SLP runners and headers, BBK 52mm throttle body.

 

Since aftermarket parts, spray all junctions of intake system with WD40, starting fluid, etc., to find a leak. Engine rpm will change when sprayed.

 

How long has it been doing this? I see your engine is not stock. The cam in that engine is much bigger than a stock TPI cam. You may need a custom chip

 

The car ran fine the frist couple of months. Then I was driven it 1 day and it just started doing it.

 

Are you really trying to help?? Every post I see from you your selling a d** chip. I swapped my 2.8 to a 383 and it runs fine. Guess I still need a chip too huh?
