Hey I am new here, so why not start this thing off with a stupid question. I have a 88 Camaro with a 305 TPI. It is CRAP CRAP CRAP. But until the 350 finds a job and finsihes itself I need some help making the old one run. The problem is: the car with run but idle like crap(have installed new plugs, wire, cap, rotor). When starting the car if you hold the gas down it will rev up fine, but from a idle when you press the gas down it will fall on its face and die. Now heres the stupid question part......Its missing the MAF, I know, I know, your gonna tell me to put one on. But ive had other cars that with it unhooked they just idle poor but still make the power. Is this not true on the TPI, is there anyway I can jump a pin on the connector to make it think it reads a certain way. I know im like a retarded kid trying to take off a bra. Just remember its my first time, BE GENTLE
