89 IROC Z28 305 cid 700r4
I have to cycle the key 3 to 4 times to get it to start when it is cold out. once it starte goes to hi idle and as it warms up goes down to nornal idle... but is running so rich that it burns your eyes if you stand behind the car.even at opperating temp.
have replaced with new parts;
comp.
eng. temp sensor
plugs
rotor
cap
wires
O2 sensor
Now someone has replaced the stock exhaust with a strait pipe. could it be that the O2 sensor with the strait pipe never gets up to opperating temp to send a signel to the comp. to lean it out?

Is this a mass airflow or speed density system?

 

anything else done to the car? was the cat straight pipe, or the muffler also?

 

as far as mass airflow or speed den. it is mas airflow and it is new I forgot it in the list if new parts..... my bad sorry
as far as the exhaust no cat no muffler, just pipe from the "Y" pipe back to the rear bumper.
