Hello everyone, i just bought my new 89 Iroc Z about a week ago. It is a 305 TPI with 5 speed manny. it has chrome 18 iroc reps. i dont really know much about these, because i was into 240's and bmw's before this. The people i have talked to said that the 5 speed is hard to find. is that true? Well i look forward to working on this car, and to learn all i can about it.

I don't think the five speeds are hard to find. Just as years passed by there was getting less and less rear drive auto's. And the shifter is in different locations per application. Like it is about in the middle on a S10 and over the tail shaft on the Camaro. I think the Corvettes use the same. Plus the automatics are more valuble than a manual. If you ever look it up in a blue book a manual would usualy be about a -250. I geuss they don't conssider the fun into the factor.

 

this is the only one i have right now. Yes i wish they would consider fun factor. our cars would be worth a whole lot more lol.
