trying to build up a vortec...from what i understand i cant use a camshaft with more than 0.450 lift w the vortec heads..is this correct? if so what needs to be done to go bigger? different vavle springs?? port/polish? im new at this lol...another question is will the original 700R4 tranny hold up to a V8...the original was a 2.8L V6 .....please help!

700R4 can take amild v8.

 

anyone....info on the lift max for vortec headsss??

 

PM sent on the Vortec.
And a V8 won't bolt up to a V6 trans. The bolt pattern on the bellhousing is too small.
