Need some quick help.
So i finally took out the camaro out for the weekend and everything was fine, car is just amazing and i love the cop attention.
but anyways, on my way home from work today i forgot to turn on the fan and it ran 260+ for about 2-5 mins until i turned on the fan (it turns on when i turn on the ac/heat). It rapidly cooled down after a few minutes but the car seemed fine for the way home. After i parked it and restarted it, it had a very rough idle and stalled a few times until i gave it a rev. After that i took it around the block and the car just doesnt run or sound right, meaning i can hold the throttle down all the way and it will struggle to rev up and shift at all and i hear a rattle from under the passenger side.
My friend says it might be a bad oxygen sensor and exhaust might be gone.
Anyone know what might be the problem?

after reading some threads around, i remember that my positive battery cable is melted to the point where the red layer is gone and you can see the wires.
Can this be causing it? Ill take pictures of it and see if thats whats wrong since thats the only thing that seems out of place when inspecting the car.

Could be your catalytic converter had a melt down, or is breaking apart and restricting the exhaust flow. Get under the car and bang on the cat with your fist. If it sounds like there are rocks inside, it's shot. If the cat is bad, you can remove it, break the parts up, and clean it out. Or just remove the pipe from the exit end of the cat, break the insides apart, and run the engine to help blow it out.
I don't see your battery cable being the problem, unless your volt gauge registers below 12 volts.

I find it a bit weird that the car ran fine 5 mins before i turned it off and until i had to move it and then i noticed it sounded different. I do feel like its a restriction problem and feels like its under the passenger side.
Thanks cam, ill check it out in the morning and see if thats it.

Nope cat is fine.
but found out its one of the injectors, passenger side was not working, i took them out for a cleaning to see if that will fix it and nothing.
