Default Need help w/ LS1 Swap. Anyone in WA w/experience willing to help??

Ok I have decided that i will be embarking on the infamous LS1 swap into my 92 RS. Im starting from scratch. I want to pretty much overhaul the whole car. Ive been compiling a list of parts and ideas since last year when I got home from deployment. Ive just been waiting on my orders sending me to Fort Lewis so I could have the car with me (didnt want to pay 1000+ on shipping it to Kentucky for a year then driving or shipping it back since it has over 190k on all original parts) well time has finally come for me to move back to Washington and Ill be stationed at Fort Lewis hopefully for as long as the project will take (Im not concerned about time since its going to be a long term project). Ive got most of my ducks in a row. Ive got a truck to tow the vehicle and transport parts in. I know with the amount of time/money Ill be spending I would have been better off just buying an LS1 Camaro or Vette, but I love my RS and Im not letting it go. When my truck arrives in Washington I will garage the Camaro and begin tearing into it selling what I can to put together extra cash for the build. Being in the Army and single I make a solid income and can afford to make purchases as I go. However, since this will be my first major project and the first engine ive build from scratch (ive rebuilt a few PT cruiser engines and an old Chevy Van 350 engine in a college automotive class about 4 years ago so im VERY rusty) I will need some assistance from a veteran Chevy motorhead. If anyone in the Seattle/Tacoma area is willing to help and give advice so i can finish my parts list and complete my project I welcome any and all who want to do so. I have been doing parts research on Hawks Third Gen in their LSX conversion section but when it comes to all the electronics and ratios of this and that I am at a loss. Again, If anyone wants to lend me a hand I will be more than appreciative of your help.

Sparky! Where you been hiding man?
One of our members (jerhofer) installed an LS1 in his 77, and has a build thread: https://camaroforums.com/forum/70-81...-camaro-62476/
Although his is a different platform from yours, the basics you need to know about getting an LS1 to work in a non-LS car will still be the same.
