NEED HELP! CAR NOT STARTING!!
Ok guys this is gonna be a long message: Ok, I installed some headers into my 91 RS, and put in some flowmasters. THe guy that installed them didn't hook up the oxygen sensor and another sensor, and also, the spark plugs weren't on right. So the mechanic checked it out and put the spark plugs on but said that the headers were just gonna burn into the rubber. So i bought some new sparkplugs that won't touch the headers. I thought eveythin was cool so Then I drove on the freeway for about 30 miles or more. Everything was running clean. Then, the next day i drove to work and back on a full tank of gas. When i got home, i put some **** away real quick and then went back in my car to go out again. But when i went to turn on my car.... nothing happened. All you can hear is the starter trying to click. My battery would drain everytime i tried to turn it on. So i took it to a mechanic and he said that the alarm caused a shortage in the system, and that i had to take it out and it would start right up again. So i took out the brain of the alarm and took out the wires and when i tried to turn it on again.... it didn't. But this time the car would start a little, and then die out right away, and at the same time my battery was draining again. So i bought a new battery, and put it in. Then i put gas into where the fuel injector is located at, because it sounded like no gas was going through. That made the car start for a while, and then it would turn off once again. Everytime i put in gas into the fuel injector, it turns on but then dies out. I'm thinking that somethings up with the fuel line, but the mechanic said he checked that already. So now i think its the fuel pump, but i'm not sure. I don't know why theres no gas going into the fuel injector. When i turn on my car, you can see smoke come out right behind the spark plugs. I need some suggestions and hopefully you guys tell me whats wrong. THAnk You!
Check the fuel pump relay and fuses. Check the fusible links, also recheck the spark plug wires as the haders may have cooked them.
Also possible that the fuel pump died.
Also possible that the fuel pump died.
My buddy had the same problem with his 90 rs and he changed hella sensors, wires, injectors, and so on. It turned out that it was the fuel pump! Bad problem is, you have to drop the rear end to get to the tank and drop the tank to get to the pump in the tank.
