Default need help from camaro expert

ok i dont need help from an expert, but maybe someone can shed some light.
situation: i am new to the forum, very mechanically challenged, but need an opinion.

i have a 89 camaro rs, v8, 5.0L coupe

earlier tonight i asked my neighbor to race me (even though i dont race). anyways he has a 1990 nissan 300zx, v6 dohc 3.0L. (no turbo)

even though i dont know much about cars, i am probably overly confident that my car would win a short distance race. he dident except the challenge, no problem, but 2 of my other friends went on and on how his car would completely take mine. since i overly pride my car, its now bugging the crap out of me that they are so sure of his car winning. i cant race him so i wont really know.

i know this is childish and i am probably desicrating this awesome forum, but i would really like to here some input. i probably dident give enough info, so if anything is needed please let me know.

Default RE: need help from camaro expert

I have a 91 RS, and son has a Mitsu 3000GT v6 3.0 (non-turbo). Having driven both, but not against each other, I would have to say the GT will easily take it. It walks away very quickly even without a turbo, something the RS doesn't do. In stock form the RS is no drag car, even with a v8. Save your pride and don't push it with the neighbor, he'll spank you good.
