Default my first third gen

Last night me and a buddy of mine went and i got an 84 Z28 HO t-tops power everything for 500$. And its running, It is cream color with goldtrim at the bottomand gold rims. I thought it may be a limited edition. I drove it home and the only problem was that it was idling high and running hot. Its been sitting for about a year. If you guys can give me a starting point of what needs to be done to stop the idle problem that would be helpful and if you can let me know if my car is limited.

welcome post some pics. as far as your idle and heat problems it sounds like a good tune might do the trick plugs, wires, and change all your fluids. try some engine ice in the radiator

Yeah I agree. Good deal bro. A tune up is the best thing for it right now. Get all the old gas out of there, but some kind of fuel cleaner in, new plugs, wires, cap and rotor, all new fluid/filters-basically all the small stuff. Rebuilding the carb probably wouldn't hurt either, but may not be 100% needed. Give it a good tune up and go from there.

very nice find, great price, as far as it being a limited edition the only special edition i know for 84 was the olympic edition which was white with red and blue. Beige was a stock color that made it onto about 13,000 camaros in 84, and the gold wheels were common as well, but its still a great find
