the first week of march, although i didnt really want to.........Sold my 1986 IROC with 72k miles. loved the car, fired up everytime i turned the key. hit me hard after seeing it drive off. but a couple weeks later i wasnt so sad , but actually happy as i got my dream car although it is a project, i plan on driven her around summer 2012.

@ Caveman305: you can find delorean projects all over the place. the only thing is , is that the project D's cost more than most pristine 3rd Gens that run around ( i paid 8500 for this project 21k miles). only 8500 D's made compared to 2 million or so 3rd gens. i did that knowing if i cant afford to restore it in the future i can sell it and get my money back out of it. or you can buy a decent daily driver in the 15-20k range one forum to subscribe to once its back up and running( it's currently down for some reason) is dmctalk.com. a lot of friendly members on there just like here who are very knowledgable in the DMC12 field. that forum is where i found my project, and they actually have one on there for 2k although its a salvage title and basically is just the fiberglass tub on the frame and wheels.
also check the DML (delorean mailing list) they have deloreans for sale on there too. if your lookin for a D project or Daily driver, get at me on facebook Tim Moore | Facebook, and i will gladly help you out.

@ MicroKid: This particular DeLorean as well as numerous others were painted by John DeLorean's younger brother Mark DeLorean at his former dealership in lakewood ohio. some look nice. Im returning it to stainless, but i like a black delorean. they look super sharp although it hurts there value a good bit to be painted.
