My 91 has an intermittent "miss" or stumble. It kind ofacts like there is water in the gas. It will run fine for miles and then start to act up. The car will run bad with a warm or cold engine and at any level of gas in the tank. I did a complete tune up and had the engine checked for error codes. I changed the fuel filter at the same time. I also had a fuel injection cleaning done. There are a couple of times I can be almost sure it will miss. One is when I’ve been on the highway for 30 minutes or so and then get off and start to drive on the side roads. It will also generally act like its vapor locking if I have run it until its hot and then 20 or 30 minute later go to start it up again.

 

Check for kinks in any of the fuel lines and then you may have to drop the tank and check the pump.

The fuel pressure was checked and was Ok at the same time as they ran the check for error codes.
I’m thinking of pulling the tank to see if it’s got some garbage in it that’s plugging up the fuel intake screen.
