Default Horn wires in steering wheel?

I just bought a 85 camero and the horn does not work. I've tried everything from checking the fuses to buying a new relay and nothing seems to work. The old horn did not work and I bought a new horn. I disassembled the steering wheel and do not see any wires that connect to the horn. Is there a wire or is it all just metal to metal contacts untill it gets to the relay. Please help I need to pass inspection.
Thank You

Default RE: Horn wires in steering wheel?

There is one wire from the button to the turn signal cancel cam. (it also has the horn contact ring on it) Some times the end of it gets broke off and the wire which has a spring and and a button on it wont stay in it. There should be a hole inside your steering wheel just about the threaded hole for a puller on the left side. About the 10 oclock position. There would be a white plastic tube inside the hole. That is where the horn button wire goes to.
