Couple questions
i have a 82'z28 with the 5.0 (305) carbed and the other day i went outside to start it and it wouldnt start it was running a little rough the day before but then i went to start it and the car trys to turn over but it makes a grinding noise and thats about all it does anddd another thing i was told the timing could be way off because it took like 4-5 pumps then it would start but some times i would have to do it 5-6 times then it would start but when i do drive it if i go to step on it or push on the gas a little to hard it would bogg down then attempt to stall but sometime i can save it if i feather the pedal i was told thi is prolly a combination of the carb being out of adjustment and the timing is off but what do you guys think i changed the plugs and wires the other day and did the oil but i bumped the dist cap and it turned so i turned it bk to were i thought it was and it started a little hard but idk im stuck and without a car right now so help is greatly appreciated Thanks
and another thing when i start the car after 5 mins of running or when it warms up smoke that smells like antifreeze starts coming threw the vents even when the heat is off i was told thats the heater core and i am going ot replace it when i recieve the new one but would that be the cause?thanks

RE: Couple questions
when you are adjusting the screws on your carb start with the right side. Screw it in until you hear the idle speed drop and the screw it out about half a turn and do the same for the other side.
the car pretty much has to be running to get it right.
