Default Complete LS1 W/tranny install.

I wrecked my 98camaro V6 3800, it was mostly engine and suspension damage, I found an LS1 325HP 198K Mile complete with wireing harness all sensors and transmission, they want $2199.00, Im thinkging there is plenty of parts on the net to complete this project. It think i would spend less than buying a 98+ Z28/SS or an IROC-Z in decent shape., i cant find them less than $6000 which is what i would spend to compete the install on my RS. Hopfuly the insurance will cover the damage and i could wait till next year to make the swap, hopefully for somthing nicer like an ls6, or put a down payment on the new Camaro. Thanks I would appreciate the feedback.

Did I read that right? ~$2200 for a drivetrain with 200,000 miles on it?

No thanks.

Also, what are you asking? I don't see a question here.

P.S. If you dinged up the car THAT badly to have both engine and suspension damage, get a v8 car with the insurance money. My 94 3.4L car has a bad engine, but the worst damage it has (I bought it for $200 and trading another car for it...) is a cracked driver's front fender. $35 plus pay to paint.

You need to shop some where else. If you can't find an Iroc for less than 4000 your getting ripped.

just so you know i tried this with my car as well or at least was going to try it. along with the engine and tanny. you might have to up grade the axle/brakes/suspension/fans/radiator a few others that i cant think of at the moment. also if many engine swps unles you keep the exact year of the engine you might have to redo most of the wiring through the whole car. like i said i was going to dis with my v6. After pricing all of that out it came out to around +$4,000. all of these parts are usually with out waranty. I went and shopped for about 2-3 weeks and found a z28 for 3,500 that runs great. Just a thought though.
