Knarly De-strokers...
I still have the original "FEE-OH-FI" for my Berlinetta. I thought
that it would just be better with an L-48 Block in there.
A friend of mine built a 305 De-stroker using a 1976 267 Crank.
the 267 has a 3.10-inch stroke that would make a 276 cid.
But this motor could really rap some RPM's He had this in
a 1976 Monza & would regularly toast the Fox based Mustangs...
They never saw it coming... Word got out in Olathe, KS & now
no one will even think of running him!

Because some guys might want to keep the factory block in their car to have a matching numbers classic.
For Example:
My 87 Iroc Z is all original and came with the 305TPI/5speed. It is worth more in its factory trim therefore I would elect to build the 305 rather then swap in a 350.

not that i doubt you,but i would have to see that,to get 300hp out of stock headed 305 is a challange,to get 375 hp out of 350 stock headed is a challenge, but i agree you would have to throw a lot of money at it.how does stock head hit 7300 rpm.

this was a common setup for A/Sedan and supposedly a little low for the really high buck guys. Now the have gone to a spec Aluminium head and are seeing 400+ HP at 8000 RPM. The 375HP number is not pie in the sky. Stock valve sizes,.480 lift, and angle milled for 10.3 to 1 compression. The secret was in the custom cam and custom headers and exhaust.($$$$$$)
