Can't go past 180kph
I was doing a total restoration on my 1991 Camaro RS. I needed another car to drive in the mean time. Something that didn't have any problems that I could just drive to and from school. I found another 1991 Camaro RS. This one has already had some minor modifications done to it. It had a motor swap and I think it is an L05 350. I could be wrong but if I had to bet on it that is what I would say. I just drive the car and use it as my daily. It has MSD ignition, Flowmaster exhaust and that is about it. I live in a fairy new part of Dubai. And by my house there are a lot of blank roads. Often when I have nothing better to do I will just take my Camaro out there and have some fun. About two weeks ago I really wanted to see what the car was made of. I flored it. I soon hit 180kph. And it had stopped there and I just continued going 180. Is that right? You would think I could go faste that that right? Do you guys think something is wrong or there is a governer or something. I mean 180 is not that fast.

180 kph = 111.8 mph. The Camaro is speed limited to 110 mph, so you're right there. You can override the system: http://www.thirdgen.org/unlimited but be aware that part of the reason yours is limited is because of the speed rating of the tires that the car came equipped with. You go pushing the speed way past the tire rating, and you're just pressing your luck. If you've already upgraded to higher speed rated tires, then that part isn't an issue any more.

Nitto Invo's are Z rated tires. Good for mph of 149 and up (I'll let you do the conversion).
I think you're going to need to be going downhill with a good tail-wind to get your 305 powered car going that fast.
