If you are keeping the same transmission and rear the RPM will remain the same.

a non world class T5 is already a weak transmission to begin with, and putting a V8 in front of one set up for a v6 .....

and isnt the input shaft a different size as well?

everybody on here told me the t5 in it right now would hold the power. i asked summit about the input shaft and they say it would work if i changed the bell housing and slave cyl. i could buy a v8 one from a auto salvage but . six cyl one got lower gears . doesnt matter if it wont hold up.any one on here using 6 cyl t5 on v8? also my tach is off but i am not worrying bout it since its gets changed when the motor does

i did the same exact thing u did, same gears, v6 tranny, and i did it with a GM performance motor. it holds good. yes ur tac will be off but just get one form autometer. and youll be faster than a iroc because u do have lower gears. trust me i know form first hand experince.
