build thread!
i have a 1988 irocz z28 that i am re-furbishing! i started with pulling the 305 tpi. i bought a 350 long block and installed everything from the 305 onto the 350. the 350 has been dropped in and the motor mounts are bolted up thats it. im trying to hook up all the sensors and vacuum lines and all connectors on the wiring harness. i have already installed 24lb injectors and i am trying to find a 350 chip for the ecm, knock sensor and module. i was going to see if there was any way you guys can hook me up with some under the hood pics and close ups of the sensors and along the tpi so i can see where most of this stuff hooks up to. i know this might be a pain in the a$$ but it would really help me out big time. my setup has the cold start injector on the driver side and i found where those connections go but on the passenger side there are also 5 connections and i only have 4 injectors???? any help will be greatly appreciated. this was a project but im trying to get it running asap as a daily driver and do the mods as i go. thanks a million guys!

Apparently they changed up the knock sensor position/workings between 88 and 91, because mine is completely different from yours. I have a knock sensor behind the passanger side motor mount, right in front of the starter. Someone told me one time that the 'module' (which I don't have) was going to be on the drivers side firewall, which might be where yours is. Your best bet on the wiring is to spend the $150, and buy the shop manual and an OBD1 reader to tell you what sensors are reading and what one's aren't reading. I didn't buy the reader till the car was finished, and it would have saved me tons of money and time. The shop manual is a great investment also, it's like a bible over your camaro. Tells you everything you will ever need to know and then some about your car.
