Default Backpressure from an intake??

First i was wondering if you can get more backpressure from an intake, and if so, does that backpressure go away if you open up your exhaust?
probably just answered it myself...
i got a ram air intake witha accel kool blue filter and flowmaster 80 series.
i guess my bottom line question would be would i see decent and horsepower gains from just havin straight tube chambered mufflers and turndowns? Or would i lose torque cuz less backpressure?
any help/suggestions are welcomed. thanks

Anyway that You can let that engine breathe, It adds up to more pwer. The engine is an air pump, pure and simple, So, air in and air out makes it faster.
