Default 92 RS won't turnover

I have a 92 RS that i had running the other day. Well when i turned on the heater to test it out, the car just shut off. Now i cant get any power to the gauges or anything else. the only thing that powers up is the headlights and dome light. Can someone help me out?

i think the fuse box lost power somewhere..the starter has 12v to it but it seems the fuse box doesnt have any power to it at all

there will be a bunch of smaller wires coming off the starter, they are fusubile links. check them, one or more of them supplies power to the fuse panel.

microkid- that makes sense because there is power to the starter, but no power coming from those smaller wires off the starter..i will check thos today and see if i can get her running again.

if you find one melted, be safe about it and buy a pre-wired inline fuse holder. that way whatever may have caused it to burn up doesnt set the car on fire, and i dont really know if you can buy fusible links. but regular fuses are a lot cheaper to replace while you are trying to fix the issue

Is the starter nose actually making contact with the flexplate?

The term "turn over" seems to be misused here a bit. Do you mean the engine won't budge with the starter, or by "turn over", did you mean "start & run"?

it wont click or anything..theres no power to the fuse box..no dash lights come on or anything..i think its the linkible fuse..because there is power from the starter to the fuse..but after the fuse there is no power.
