my car is an 88, but the engine is out of a 91, i believe it had the 305 tpi, but now is the 350 tpi, it runs great and all, but i want more, my question is, will a 400 from a 70ish caprice be a good build? will the tpi intake bolt up to the 400 small block? can i tune the computer to feed more fuel that will be needed? thanks in advance

 

forgot to mention it is coupled to a t5 and a 411 eaton posi, headers and a full 3" exhaust, will the bell housing bolt up?

 

I don't know for a fact about either the intake, or the T5, someone else will know for sure, but I'm not sure how you are going to get around the knock sensor required for the computer controller distributor......

 

hmm, maybe just punch it over with a big cam and heads?

 

anything more and that poor t-5 will explode. but if you want to test it, get some aluminum heads with a small chamber size to up the compression and get a bigger cam

 

ha im willing to test out this trans, i heard they do not like power very much

 

anything more than a mild 350 and it will start separating, even with careful shifting and no burnouts. but if you happen upon a spare or want a reason to buy a better trans, go for it

 

so what has to be done to the t56 to get it in there? i heard something about the bell housing?

 

anybody know a good prom chip maker? im goin to have to get one flashed if i put this big cam in her
