Drain the radiator and look inside. Might have some crud built up but run some flush through the system when it gets running and it should be fine. Coolant is supose to have rust inhibiters.
And yes your car should have power brakes. There is a vacuum booster that the master is bolted to. (The big, round thing with a hose going from it to the intake area)

lol yeah well i think i might try to see if it'll hold a charge...lol jk...but about the brakes im not that dumb to not know if it has power brakes but i cant look at the car so i wasn't able to know it had them or not...just to throw that out there but thanks for the reply

Ohhhh ok then. Then the 80's must be ancient history to you. Well it was in the 70's when power brakes were more of an option. Autos would have "power brakes" embossed on the brake pedal like WOOHOO! I got power brakes and you dont cause you on the welfare.
