ok just as the topic says i got a real good deal on a set of 4th gen wheels i wanted to know if a 86 wheel will fit on my 86 iroc???

 

I assume you meant 96 wheels?
Backspacing on third gen wheels are in the 5.25" range and backspacing on fourth gen wheels is 7". Both wheels are 8" wide. I have some 4th gen wheels and have tried fitting them on my 91. Wheel spacer adapters will be needed to make it work. At least 1" thick should do it, otherwise they won't clear behind the wheels/tires.

will the front and back be he same backspacing? i have had the car in storage for about two years and im not as ontop as i used to be with facts and info..... i do remember the front and rear are stamped on the 86 is that for different backspacing
