hello all, i have a 86 camaro and was concidering putting in a 454 BB, was wondering after i cut my inner fender out will that be all the room i need or is there bigger things like steering, power fuil tank, etc etc, worth the trouble or stick with the SB? thx

 

Stick with the small block and save yourself a lot of work. If you want big inch, 427 inch small blocks are avilable, and will make as much power as a 454. You would aso have to deal with the extra weight of the big block over the front wheels. Now, if you were to put in abig block of more than 500 inches, it would probably be worth the trouble, if done right.

 

THERE ISNT THAT MUCH WEIGHT DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A SB AND A BB, OF COURSE A BB IS HEAVIER BUT NOT THAT BAD, AND PLUS U CAN MAKE MORE POWER OUT OF A BB FOR ALOT LESS MONEY, THATS WHY IM ABOUT TO DROPE MY BB IN MY 86 IROC AS SOON AS ITS DONE. AARON
