Has anyone ever put parts (engine, tranny, rear end, etc) from a 3rd gen into a 2nd gen?? For the price of a running 3rd gen z28 youre getting a lot of bang for your buck if you look at it as parts. How hard is it to make the above mentioned parts fit into a 2nd gen? I'd like to do a 70-73. This way just seems cheaper than buying these parts individually... Any thoughts??

 

go with an LT1, they have way more power than the 3rd gens and are a great price, ive seen em go for 800 bucks complete for an 80,000 impala LT1, e-bay has some good prices. i have seen many great install guides on the net for the 2nd gen getting a LT1 implant, so the rescources are plentyful.
