I have a 67 Camaro and it was a v8 car but not a big block car. it now has a '72 402 in it and I changed the motor mounts but im still having hood clearance problems! the hood will shut but I dont think theres enough room for an air cleaner? is it normal 2 have these problems with an ss hood? or engine set up?

 

i have a 78 with a 454 .i have a high-rise manifold with a ss hood.a 3" filter element will fit ,i can't get a 4" element in there.it is also going to depend on the what type filter housing you use.get one that will drop and cover most of your carb up.i know these are 2 different cars but i thought i would offer some advise

 

I have a 67 with a 454 and a stripdominator intake and Z/28 hood and it clears fine

does any one know some one with a bb in their 1st gen Camaro with an ss hood?
