383 flywheel problem. please help!

Default 383 flywheel problem. please help!

I have a 1984 Z28 with a 383 stroker, im replacing the TH 400 and want to put a 5 speed in it from a 1991 rs camaro.My engine is a 2 piece rear main. what size flywheel shoud I use? and does anyone have one?

Hmmm,I sorta got my hopes up going on a camaro forum to help me with this flywheel problem I guess I was wrong. I figured it out myself!!

Jeez....we don't always have the right answers right away!
Look on the bright side, you're a better problem solver now.
I hope you at least got a flywheel made specifically for the 383...externally balanced.

I got a good used 153 tooth 10.4 flywheel from an early 70's 350 chevy engine and a 400 balance plate. I'm taking the flywheel and balance plate to a local speed shop along with my original 400 flexplate to have them match balanced. Oh camaro 69 "NICE RIDE" YOUVE GOT ONE BAD...RIDE DUDE.HOW MUCH H.P. ? around 600 or so?
