will any old style 350 bolt right into the stock 89' 305 RS engine mounts ? i want to pick up just a regular 350 block and build it, but idk if it would fit ? thanks !

 

i would get 350 camaro mounts just to be safe, usually when you swap a motor , in my opinion you should get new motor mounts.

yeah, 305 and 350 is the same block.

 

any 350 will fit but it is not the same block it is 45 cid bigger which is not much but it is different. I just put one in my z28.

 

305/350 have the same external dimensions and are interchangeable in the engine bay. It is the internal dimensions that make the big difference. That is why so many people try to pass off a 305 as a 350.[sm=gears.gif]

No, it cannot.

 

i'm pretty sure a 305 can be turned into a 350. its the same block, just different crank rods pistons and cylinder bore.

 

Your pretty sure, Ok try it and you will not have wall thickness left between cylinder bores. Internals of the castings are different between the 305/350 blocks. Pretty sure dosent cut it.
