IROC didnt come out untill 85. So yours is just a Z28. And the 350 wasnt put into camaros untill 87. Thus, you have a 1982 Camaro Z28 305

i checked my vin number it came up 305 fuel injection, but my camaro has a 4bbl carb..... how can i tell if someone has put a 350 in it. i have no history on this vehicle, it was givin to me by a lady i barly know it has been sitting in her yard for some time know. she told me i could have it just come and get it.
Ok, for the rear, it is a 3.23 if it is a manual, and a 2.73 if it is an auto with the LG4 4bb engine, or a 2.93 or 3.23 with the TBI LU5 engine. The engine casting number is on the rear of the engine on top of where the engine bolts up to the transmission on the drivers side. Will look like this:
