Default 2 questions...

1st is what size tires are good on an 88 iroc-z camaro...im used to suvs so im not sure what sizes to get...now i ha e 235/60/15 but can i go smaller or bigger(only because its hard to find cheap tires for those)?

2nd what could cause my intake to suck to much air? It basically sucks too much air and causes a choke...if i put my hand over it it will idle fine then i take it off and it starts to choke...

Thanks!

Your Idle Air Control (IAC) valve may be stuck open.

One more thought though first. If the IAC isn't closing when it should, you'll have a high idle. You didn't mention anything about your idle speed, how is it?

check the iac, and check the bushings on the throttle blades, they wear out and can cause it to stick open

In 88 IROC's came standard with 15" wheels. 16" wheels cost extra. If they are 15's then the 235/60 would be stock replacement. If 16's then 235/50. I just bought tires for my rs, but I went to 245/50 cause they were less than 235's. It's only 10 mm difference, but I like them a little wider anyway. The tires I mounded were Rikon Raptor ZR. I have no complaints so far. The reviews for this tire were good, so I got em. I spent a bit over $400.
