I just got my hands on a 1988 Iroc Convertable for a few hundred dollars. The car has some floor rust, needs a paintjob, dash, and driver seat. My question is it worth putting some money into it. I'm guessing it'll be about $5000 to have it looking really good. What's the value of the Convertable

 

its only worth as much as someone is willing to pay. if you get it back to showroom condition, you might make a profit on it, but i doubt it. most car work is just a money hole, but if you keep it, you get to enjoy your hard work

 

Very Very few people can get out of a car what they put into it. You'd be lucky to break even...

Most people do it because they want to keep the cars

 

If your looking to sell it, dont bother doing the work because you wont make any money off of it. I would do the work myself and keep the car, an iroc is a nice car in good condition.
