I had to bypass the ignition and put a push button start on my 91 rs
It has been setting for three moneths during winter in ohio I get it to start up but have to constantly rev it to prevent it from dying. Can anyone offer any suggestions?

I have not checked any codes, Im uncertain if i am getting constant pressure.
I replaced the fuel pump, filter, and lines December 2007 i believe
also replaced the uhm.... it might be Throttle Position Sensor. It connects into the intake pleneum after the throttle body.
It has sat outside with about a 1/4 of a tank of gas in it since the middle of winter in ohio, so that may have something to do with it as well i figure
The Car ran great great gas mileage plenty of power, it only has 109k on it. Then something caused my ignition to just completely go out, so this past week i wired a push start button to it. Might just need to drain the tank, replace the fuel filter then Seafoam the f uck out of it

Could you explain where the vats is and the procedure to fixing it?

VATS= Vehicle Anti-Theft System. it's in the ecu. you can replace the ecu, but then you have to get a new key for the ignition. each key has a resistor "chip" in it, when the key is inserted into the ignition, that chip completes the VATS circuit. if the ecu doesn't see the correct resistance across, it will cut fuel or cranking power.
it's actually under the passenger side dash, and it's kind of a pain to get too. it should just be a matter of pulling the old ecu and installing the new one and getting the new key.
i still haven't gotten mine to work, so i'm just pulling the whole engine out and stuffing my sbc in there.
